Course info
The course introduces key debates and developments in gender and communication theories. It does not attempt to map the whole field of gender and communication scholarships chronologically, nor can it be exhaustive, but instead its main focuses are gender perceptions and their affects in society. This course approaches gender as a historically and culturally constructed object. It investigates how gender images affect people’s ways of life. It allows students to explore a series of case study topics within the broad fields of gender and communication. Student will also become familiar with discussions on sexuality and its intersection with gender and communication theories.
